Connect to your audience, compare your episode performance, and see what’s working with updates to the podcast analytics tool. Sign in to Apple Podcasts Connect and click on the Analytics tab to see these new features.
Understand your listeners.
Getting to know your audience is one of the best ways to put together a better show. Check out these new ways to follow your listeners’ interest levels and engagement.
View listening by followers. You can also view listening by those following and not following. From Analytics, select a show, then view total hours of Time Listened and the percentage of those hours from those following versus not following. Learn more about how followers work.
Crunch the numbers. When you’re looking at your listener numbers, you want to know how many follow your content regularly.
Check out your engagement levels. How tuned in are you listeners? With these numbers, you can see how many people are interested in what you’ve got to say. For the users that get distracted, you can pinpoint the moments they lose interest to figure out how you can adjust your content.
View your show and episode data. Review your listener numbers and engagement in relationship to your overall show performance.
Compare episode performance. See how your podcast episodes evolve over time by comparing their performance based on the days since it was released.
