Apple reveals the most popular podcasts of 2022

Apple Podcasts today published eight new year-end charts, revealing the top episodes, shows, channels, and subscriptions that listeners engaged with most throughout 2022. They are:

Year-end charts are available to listeners in nearly 100 countries and regions*, and reflect the most popular podcasts in each local market. In the U.S., listeners can also explore Top Non-English Shows of 2022 to discover great podcasts in other languages. This year’s charts underscore the popularity of true crime, news, comedy, documentary, and interviews across languages, markets, and both free and subscriber channels.

The standard Apple Podcasts Charts — which represent a mix of following, listening, and completion rates — are frequently updated each day, presenting a dynamic view of the most popular and trending content. Earlier this year, Apple Podcasts introduced Top Subscriber Shows and Top Subscriber Channels to help listeners in the U.S., U.K., Canada, and Australia discover the most popular premium podcasts and creators.
