Apple Podcasts App

Content infringement and digital rights management (DRM)

Content infringement

Apple values copyrights and takes the issue very seriously. Copyright holders can notify Apple of content disputes or copyright violations.

Apple investigates podcast content complaints and responds accordingly, removing shows if necessary.

If you believe a show available on Apple Podcasts violates your intellectual property rights, submit a claim to Apple Legal.

Digital rights management (DRM)

If you’re a member of the Apple Podcasters Program, DRM is applied to any audio content you upload in Apple Podcasts Connect. DRM protects against unauthorized modification or distribution of your content, so listeners can only access it on Apple Podcasts or iTunes.
