Artwork Policies

We love it when creators get creative with podcast art. A unique, eye-catching visual is a great way to attract listeners. But there are a few things you can’t do in your artwork. These guidelines will help you stay on track.

Please be aware that Apple Podcasts may reject or remove artwork that does not adhere to our policies.

  • Be original. Only include images that you have the rights to use and that don’t infringe on the rights of others (for example, copyright, right of publicity, trademark, etc.).
  • Keep it clean. Avoid explicit, harmful, or objectionable language and content, including profanity, violence, illegal drugs, or self-harm.
  • Depict the show you intend to publish. Your art shouldn’t reference content that’s not available on Apple Podcasts.
  • Stick to the specs. Blurry, misaligned, pixelated, or poor quality images that are clearly not part of a visual style or creative direction may be rejected. Visit our Template Library to find the specs for each piece of art.
  • Do your due diligence. If you’re using stock images, secure the right licensing for commercial use and make sure they’re watermark free.
  • Let your brand be the star. Your artwork can’t include any visual representations of Apple, including logos (Apple Inc., Apple Podcasts, or iTunes Store), terms (Apple Inc., Apple Podcasts, Apple Music, iTunes Store, iTunes), and hardware.

Whether you’re just starting or have your art in hand, our design resources can help you get it ready for Apple Podcasts. Check out our Artwork Guide for an overview of all our placements, and find templates for every piece of art in our Template Library.
